Drama: Anne Frank: 6.) Why are there so many books, movies, documentaries, etc. about the Holocaust? Why do we keep retelling this story?

I really don't know why we retell the horrible stories of individuals and others. However, I have some guesses that might be accurate. Firstly, I think that it is used as a reminder to say that this was not just like killing guilty people these people were innocent. I think that we need to tell kids and adults that do not be prejudice person or a racist. Secondly, I think that we might never know the true horrors of these people but we need to prevent these things from happening ever again, so to do that we need to retell these horrible stories, to keep these people alive and not just something like a fairytale. Thirdly, I think that it is a way to respect the people who died or survived but felt great pain. We need to keep them alive so their legacy lives. Since we do not know all the people who died during this horrible event, we must respect them by reading their stories and how we should not let prejudice run over us. Also, we know that by these events, we got to learn how powerful one person can be. I think that personally, Hitler was a bit crazy because he got hated from his father and because of that he failed to pass an art exam several times. Fourthly, by this event, we know that prejudice is never good. Eventually time would pass but the horrors will still stay, to teach everyone don't be a racist and we should prevent such mass killings as the Holocaust from being done. By not preventing, the stories of these people's lives will be lost and when enough time passes it could happen again. Just like the last time. So keeping it alive will prevent another mass killing of innocent lives. I think that we should always keep these people's stories alive so we won't have such things as the Holocaust happen.
